Lockdown Antics
So with South Africa under lockdown I decided to finally pull out that green screen, that I ordered from wish.com for R200, and actually make use of it. You know…follow through with a project…that thing I always do…
A while back I had really wanted to get one. Mostly to mess around with Adobe After Effects to give myself super powers and stuff. Like this “amazing” attempt when I was like 15.
My plan this time was to do something a little better. Just a little, and maybe a little longer than 2 seconds. So I set out looking for inspiration or just plain old theft of ideas, like any good StackOverflow developer. I came across a YouTuber who had inserted himself into a movie many years back and I said hey why not do that? “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” I think it was, the scene with that dude creeping on Hermione at the dinner table. I can be a creepy guy at a dinner table! I don’t even need to act! Perfect!
Please don’t take me seriously guys…invite me to dinner… I’m nice…I like food and need friends…
After watching the video again, I sort of hesitated and was thought “nah…let’s not make this the first one” because really…it was a weird scene with no dialogue and I thought I could be a tad more entertaining. Queue Deadpool2. The scene where Deadpool selects his X-Force. EASY! The vanisher is completely invisible so that means there’s literally an empty scene where I don’t have to cut around a character! Just a simple copy and paste of myself.
